I think the biggest problem with the family operating system is the patriarchy, not the disability. I am finding myself angry about the defaulting all of the cognitive load (and so many other things) to the mother. There are so many systems, many oppressive, that make life harder for neurodivergent folks. Lots of love to you.
I agree 100%! I don’t blame the diagnosis itself — I don’t believe there’s anything wrong or bad about autism or neurodivergence. It’s the patriarchy and the absurdity of the operating system still being expected to operate with a disability
